Biography

I am currently in her first year of the Portuguese Literatures MA program at Brigham Young University (BYU). I am originally from a small town in California, and often find myself longing for the sunny California beaches I grew up with. In fact, I would gladly trade the "Best Snow in the World" for a day at any California beach—yes, even Santa Monica! Despite my nostalgia for the sun and sand, I have fully embraced my academic journey at BYU, where I have discovered a deep passion for Portuguese studies.

Future Goals

I plan to apply to doctoral programs next year, with the ultimate goal of becoming a professor of Portuguese studies. I hope to inspire and mentor the next generation of students, just as I have been inspired during my time at BYU. I am eager to contribute to the field of Portuguese studies and do my part to support future scholars.
