Graduate Professional Presentation Award

Students whose work is accepted for presentation may apply for travel funding by submitting the following form to the graduate program manager prior to travel:

Travel awards are funded based on the following criteria:

1. The strength of a student’s project and proposal
2. The support of the student's committee chair
3. A student's previous travel funding
4. The student’s standing in the department
5. Available funds.

Past travel awards from the department have typically been $300–$500 (the College of Humanities generally matches the department award). Future awards may vary in amount and also may vary from one student to another. Students are encouraged to seek additional funding from other sources.

Note: All travel must be preapproved in order to receive reimbursement from the College of Humanities.

After Travel

Upon Returning from a department-funded research presentation, students must:

• Notify the College of Humanities before the end of the semester in which you travelled by emailing humanities@byu.edu. Inform them that your travel has taken place and that you successfully completed your professional presentation.
