What is the Spanish Writing and Grammar Lab?

The purpose of the Spanish Writing and Grammar Lab (SWGL) is to help you become a better writer and a lifelong language learner. When you visit the Spanish Writing and Grammar Lab, you will meet for 30–60 minutes with one of our consultants. The consultant will begin by asking you about your goals for the session and will guide you in finding solutions to your writing and grammar questions.

Because the purpose of the lab is not to produce a perfect product, but rather to support you during the writing process, you may sign up for only one time slot per iteration of your paper or project. If your instructor is a consultant in the lab, please sign up with a different consultant and visit with your instructor during their office hours.

To make an appointment in the SWGL, simply click on "Spanish Writing Lab" below, register for an account, choose "Spanish Writing and Grammar Lab" in the menu, and sign up for a time slot. When signing up, hover over the name of the consultant to see whether they do in-person or online appointments. For in-person appointments, please go to 1131 JFSB. If you sign up for an online appointment, please check your confirmation email for a Zoom link.
