Biography

I have a passion for fostering inclusivity and forming meaningful connections. My academic work is shaped by my desire to better understand and support diverse learners. These values also define my approach to teaching. With a student-centered focus, I prioritize creating a supportive environment where all learners can build their confidence not only in their Spanish abilities, but also in themselves. In my free time, I enjoy theatre, music, board games, travel, practicing Portuguese, and visiting my family in Maryland.

Future Goals

After graduation, my goal is to teach Spanish in a middle or junior high school! I completed my student teaching at a junior high school and loved helping students build confidence at such a critical age in their personal development. Pursuing a master’s degree has given me more tools to better support my future students, and I am excited to be back in the classroom full-time.
